Say Story helps families create short illustrated storybooks from spoken or typed ideas. This page covers common first-release support questions.

AI Pictures

AI storybooks and pictures are available only after a parent opens the permission screen, passes the parent gate, and grants permission. Without that permission, the app can still create simple on-device storybooks with built-in artwork.

Microphone Permission

Say Story uses microphone and speech recognition permission so a child can speak a story idea. You can also type a story idea instead.

Private Information

Please do not enter a child's full name, address, school, phone number, email address, birthday, or other private information into story ideas.
